Dear colleagues,

The English Department will be giving a talk on November 19^th. The title is “Are we there yet? The cultural speed bumps on the road to internationalization”. The talk is given collaboratively by Dr. Ken Lau and Dr. David Gardner from the Center for Applied English Studies of the University of Hong Kong. Both speakers are experienced teachers who have researched and published in the area of internationalization. We would like to invite you to attend the talk and share your cultural bumps with the audience for finding possible solutions to removing them.

Ken Lau teaches in the Centre for Applied English Studies of the University of Hong Kong. He is also the coordinator of the MA in Applied Linguistics program. David Gardner is Honorary Associate Professor in the Centre for Applied English Studies at the University of Hong Kong. He is also the editor of the Asian Journal of Applied Linguistics (Scopus-indexed).
