December Events in 5-Year Junior College

I. English Drama Contest

The annual drama contest is a showcase of students’ originality of drama production. The 3rd- and 4th- year classes are required to produce a 25-minute English play. Every class can use necessary properties, costumes, scenery, and special effects to enhance its production.

For the contest on December 7th, Mr. Kenny Tsai, the department technician, conducted a workshop in which the production crew learned how to operate stage lights and sound system. There were four productions:

XE4A Snow White, Elsa, and Princess of Wenzao

Original Script, Comedy

Princess of Wenzao is looking for true love. How would her best friends, Snow White and Elsa, help the Princess to find her Mr. Right? Who is getting married?

Adaptation, Comedy

Rachael is dating with Russ (not Ross), and Monica is in a new relationship.

XE3A Dora’s Adventure

Original Script, Fantasy

Dora, Diego, and Boots embark on a journey for golden flowers. The treasure can only be exchanged for one’s precious memory. Whose memory is given away? Would Swiper take them by surprise?

XE3B Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Adaptation, Suspense

Dr. Jekyll is battling with his ego. He is torn between the good and the evil. Would his family and friends discover Dr. Jekyll’ true identity?

II. Christmas Stockings

The Student Association hangs Christmas stockings for the department faculty and students. The stocking—a tote bag—is filled with a lovely stuffer. The Christmas stocking illustrator is Frances Chiu from XE3B. She draws a reindeer which enjoys a nap in a warm winter afternoon. Frances loves computer graphic design.
