Teaching feature-
    Teachers employ various approaches to enrich their teaching with animation, such as conversation, class discussion, role playing, and oral presentation. All the courses are taught exclusively in English. Extra-curriculum activities mean to increase chances, effectiveness and motivation of student’s English learning. A number of activities were held in hope of getting students involved in English learning environment, including the English speech contest, the English reciting contest, the English singing contest, the spelling contest, orientations on English, the English Day, English drama performance, and English broadcasting drama contest, and Graduation drama. Saturating in English learning, students are able to sharpen their skills by preparing for these activities.

Research-
1.Holding conferences, workshops, or symposiums on English teaching, Literature and Cultural studies, held by  Department of English.
2.Course arrangement in favor of teachers’ specialties, and interests of research.

International communication-
     We collaborate with Language Centers of overseas schools to host English camps or orientations in spring or summer breaks, with the purpose of enhancing students’ English proficiency and broadening their worldview. The collaborating schools include Queen Margaret University College, University of Southampton, University of Portsmouth, Bath Spa University College, Anglo-Continental and Debugue University in the USA.
