英文系學生即將完成台積電之實習Graduating Class Interning at TSMC Ready to Take on New Challenges in the USA

Ten members of the Class of 2022 have been working as interns at TSMC since early this year. As their internship is fast approaching the end, the internship supervisor, Ms. Terri He, has organized an online session with interns with the help of the site supervisor, Mr. J. J. Lai. The meeting took place on the 29^th April, serving as an occasion where both parties, the students and the English Department, could discuss the past few months of their work experience. Students have enjoyed their work environment, learned what to do and have managed to pick up the jargon in the semiconductor business.

After their graduation in June this month, it is expected that all of them are going to the advanced semiconductor fab in the United States, to help with both the operation and communication with local engineers. The Arizona facility is based on the support from the U.S. federal government and the State of Arizona. It is indeed a great comfort for the English Department to know that our students are going to be part of the globally competitive environment for a leading edge semiconductor technology operation in the U.S.
