Topic1:Teaching English

What does it mean to be an English language teacher? In this session we will look at some of the issues and challenges that surround English Language Teaching and will discuss some of the myths and stereotypes around what is ‘good’ and ‘bad’ in ELT.

Topic2:New ideas and approaches in English Language Teaching

The last 15-20 years have seen big changes in the ways that we understand language and language teaching, particularly with regard to English Language Teaching. In this session we will look at translanguaging exploring what it is and what it can offer English Language Teachers.
