Erasmus Scholar, Professor Marcel Pikhart, visiting the English Department

Dr. Marcel Pikhart, the Erasmus Visiting Scholar from the Czech Republic, visited the English Department during his short visit to Wenzao. The department arranged Dr. Pikhart to give a talk to our MA students and the graduating students of the 4-Y College. An informal meeting with the faculty members of the department also yielded a good discussion of research collaboration between the English Department and his department. In particular, the timely topic of how to use ChatGPT in various aspects of language teaching was discussed. To showcase the English Department to the prospective students, Dr. Pikhart even participated in a short video, encouraging graduating high school students to consider joining the English Department of Wenzao.
