御盟集團人資總監專題演講-分享跨域人才新思維

4月30日英文系邀請到御盟集團人資總監羅鈺汝（Yvonne Lo）女士蒞臨演講，以「跨域人才培育新思維：旅宿業人才需求與大學教育」為主題，與系上教師進行交流。

羅總監在演講中分享了旅宿業訓練人才的狀況，也分享了她在不同領域的豐富工作經驗，特別強調在現今快速變化的職場環境中，大學教育應著重培養學生「學習如何學習」以及「批判性思考」的能力，輔系、雙主修、跨系修課都有助於建立這些能力。她指出，這些核心能力將幫助學生在未來職涯中更具適應力和競爭力。與會教師們對講者的分享深感共鳴，期望能將業界建議融入教學設計，為學生提供更貼近職場需求的培育方向。

此次交流活動成功搭建了產學對話平台，為文藻英文系的跨領域教學發展注入新的思維與活力。

On April 30, the Department of English welcomed Ms. Yvonne Lo, Human Resources Director of Yuimom Group, for a guest talk on "New Perspectives on Interdisciplinary Talent Development: Talent Needs in the Hospitality Industry and University Education." Ms. Lo shared her professional insights and engaged in a thought-provoking exchange with the faculty.

In her talk, Yvonne discussed how the hospitality industry approaches talent development and shared her extensive experience across multiple fields. She highlighted the importance of equipping students with the abilities of learning how to learn and thinking critically, vital for success in today’s dynamic job market. She encouraged cross-disciplinary learning through minors, double majors, and interdepartmental course taking to build these competencies. Faculty members resonated with her insights and expressed interest in integrating industry perspectives into their curriculum. 

This event successfully fostered dialogue between academia and industry, injecting fresh ideas into the ongoing development of interdisciplinary teaching in the Wenzao English Department.
