英國語文系於2025年9月24日舉辦「技高技專交流諮詢會議」

Department of English hosted a forum on 24 September 2025 for faculty members to converse with secondary education teachers. The forum focused on how secondary education teachers accommodate Gen Z students’ needs for learning with AI tools and how courses are designed to implement the nation’s bilingual policy. The guest speakers are Mr. Xiaoheng Chen, Director of Applied English Department of National Hua-Nan Commercial Vocational High School; Ms. Shirou Liu, Director of Applied English Department of National Tainan Commercial Vocational High School, Ms. Zijun Wang, Director of Tourism Department of The Affiliated Hospitality Senior High School of Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism; and Ms. Miqi Liu. Director of Experiment and Research Section of Kaohsiung Municipal Hsin-Chuang Senior High School. The four guest speakers acknowledged the urgency of teaching their students to use AI tools wisely and ethically. They also found AI tools very helpful in building students’ confidence in expressing their thoughts and ideas, especially when English was the required language for communication. In implementing the nation’s bilingual policy in the course design, the four speakers found it challenging. Scaffolding became important both for students and teachers who had to be trained to conduct classes in English. The focus on secondary education is to broaden students’ horizons, build their confidence in long-term (self-) learning, and remind them of verifying whatever information they gain or are given. Through the conversation with the four guest speakers, we are reminded of what has truly happened and what is currently happening in educational settings, so that we can better support our students’ learning.

 

英國語文系於2025924日舉辦「技高技專交流諮詢會議」,邀請四校技高技專老師與本系教師交流。座談會的重點為探討技高技職端教育者如何引導Z世代學生使用AI工具學習以及如何於課程中導入國家雙語政策。受邀嘉賓包括國立華南商業高級中學應用英語科主任陳孝恆、國立台南商業高級中學應用英語科主任劉詩柔、高雄餐旅大學附屬高級中學觀光科主任王姿珺,以及高雄市立新莊高級中學實研組長劉米淇。四位講者一致認為教導學生如何明智且合乎倫理規範地使用AI工具是非常重要的,且AI工具能幫助學生使用英語表達想法和觀點與建立的自信心。四位講者也表達落實國家雙語政策的課程設計極具挑戰。對於需要接受英文授課的學生和培訓教師而言,支架式教學(scaffolding teaching)至關重要。技高技職端教育著重在拓寬學生的視野,增強他們長期(自主)學習的信心,並提醒他們核實所獲取的資訊。透過與四位講者的對話,英文系的教師們也得以回顧在教育現場真實發生的樣貌,從而更好地支持學生的學習。
