114學年度英文系專科部名人演講: Lulu (Lulu Tsai)

文藻專科部系學會於10月22日舉辦了本學年度的「名人演講」活動，邀請到本校傑出校友Lulu擔任此次的演講嘉賓。講者Lulu以活潑生動的方式分享她自高中開始的求學階段對於國外生活的嚮往，到就讀文藻外語系期間透過國外交換與實習的契機，啟發她從文藻畢業，在完成一年全職工作後，毅然決然辭去工作，實行壯遊歐洲的計畫，進而轉型至「數位游牧」的興新工作者。目前以KOL自由工作者自居，Lulu分享了在這段精彩豐富的人生經歷中，每當面對種種困境，她都以勇於嘗試和充滿自信的正向態度積極面對，這也培養出她獨立自主與超脫固有框架的多元思維。在演講後的問答時間，Lulu親切地以文藻過來人的身分，仔細回應聽眾對於在文藻學習以及歐洲旅遊經驗等提問。最後Lulu以「If you never go, you’ll never know」和「What doesn’t kill you make you stronger」這兩句話，鼓勵同學勇於踏出生命中的每一步。

Guest Lecture by Lulu Tsai

On October 23, the Student Association of the Five-Year Junior College Division of the English Department hosted the annual “Guest Lecture,” featuring speaker Lulu Tsai. With her lively and engaging presentation, Lulu shared her personal journey—beginning from her early aspirations for life abroad during high school, to her enriching experiences from the student exchange program and internship overseas while studying in the Department of Foreign Language Instruction at Wenzao. These opportunities inspired her to embark on a bold new chapter after graduation: resigning from her full-time position after working for a year in order to pursue a gap year-long adventure across Europe. This transformative journey ultimately led her to become a “digital nomad,” embracing a flexible and creative career as a freelance KOL now.

Throughout her talk, Lulu emphasized how courage, confidence, and a positive mindset have helped her face life’s challenges, fostering independence, self-motivation, and an open-minded outlook beyond conventional boundaries. During the Q&A session, Lulu warmly and sincerely responded to students’ questions about her time studying at Wenzao, and her experiences traveling in Europe, offering heartfelt advice from the perspective of an alumna. She concluded her inspiring talk with two memorable quotes: “If you never go, you’ll never know,” and “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”— encouraging students to take that first step forward bravely and embrace every step of their life journey.
