The objective of the English Department is to cultivate English professionals who demonstrate general communicative proficiency, profession-related language proficiency, appreciation of culture, global perspective and moral integrity. Objectives of achieving English proficiency- Students must learn: 1.The ability to interpret and translate. 2.The skills to communicate and negotiate. 3.The capacity to conduct research for the preparation of further studies on cultural studies, literature and other relative disciplines in graduation institution.

The objective for Junior College is to cultivate students into all-rounders, with high English proficiency, humanity and moral integrity. They will learn the skills of interpretation and translation, as well as professional knowledge. All students are required to major in English and to minor in one of the following languages: their minor, such as French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. All the trainings in school are a preparation for the competition of career world.
The curriculum design focuses on interdisciplinary education like trade, translation, and communication management. Students can take various courses according to their interests and their job planning. Required courses emphasize the cultivation of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English.
The curriculum designs in four-year College are to cultivate students into all-rounders, body and souls. Undergraduates have to pass the benchmark of high-intermediate English proficiency test before their graduation.
